He doesn't feel the same way, but he's protecting your dignity by not mentioning it.

He is a male, we do not think the same way that you ladies do. You will need to ask him directly. Sorry, but it is a guy thing. We just cannot handle you ladies like we should. I suggest you quit beating around the bush and just ask him straight out, but be prepared for it to go either way. There is a slim possibility of him having another in his life that you may not know about.

He could be a shy guy. You might ask him if he would like to go, maybe to the library to do homework sometime. Or maybe to a football game. Make the first move. But, if he says no thanks, move on, there is so much more out there ;)

he doesn`t want you to feel like you are embaressed for it or for it to be awkward. Also he could think that it is just a rumor so he would get embaressed if he asked and then you said no but you could come out and say what people are telling you, that I like you, its true I do

OMG stop obessing. He aint gone say nothing because there is nothing to say. You like him, that don't mean his has to like you back, or that he has to respond to every knuclehead that comes his way with some middle school gossip. Honey, let IT GO!!
