Where is the best state in america to get a job as a registered nurse?

Define "best". There is no one best state. There are states where there are more openings for nurses, states where pay is higher, states where it's nicer to live that others (but that depends on your personal preferences too).

Houston, Texas. The standard of living is affordable, the Texas Medical Center is one of the most impressive healthcare systems in the nation, and the job market for nurses is excellent (many will pay out a bonus upon signing).

Try travel nursing. You choose your destination. Wages, benefits are awesome, including all of the usual plus paid housing and rental cars, food. If you find a place you like you can usually extend your assignment.
