Now I do use firefox web browser version 1 will upgrading to firefox 2 still work with my computer??

Any problems with windows not opening up that kind of format . I would like to upgrade it only if it will work on my system?? Thanks and maybe how about netscape I tried downloading the latset format it will not work on my comp. any other version of netscape that will fit on my system . thanks K.

I say that download Firefox 2 and see if it runs on Windows 98. In case it doesn't, you can always download an older version from the FileHippo software heap. Look in the right side pane of this page for older versions:

Do the same for Netscape:

You are living on borrowed time with WIn98 SE. Don't get me wrong, I like it fine, but with Microsoft abandoning Windows XP for Vista, nobody is worrying about compatibility with WIn98 anymore.

You you have any compelling reason to upgrade firefox? You may be in the awkward position of having to test it yourself. Keep a Firefox 1 download stashed away, just in case.

I would always install the latest version of the browser. Firefox 2.0.0.9 should work fine on your system and be more stable.
