but shes a freshman and I have no classes with her. I'm way to shy to walk up to her in the hallway and say something. One of my friends has her number and knows her pretty well, but i think he used to like her so it would be kind of awkward if he were to introduce me to her. Plus I dont want to be a dick and use him to go out with a girl he used to like. What should I do?

This is certainly a toughie... hmm...
Well, if I were in your shoes and I liked some dude in the sophmore class, freshmen class, which-ever, then I would want to make a move on him, but if my friend liked him, or use to, then I would have to respect her for that and stay clear.
So, even if I really liked the person I would stay away, unless I talked to my friend who use to like him about it. Why don't you talk it over with your friend. Tell him, that you are confused and need some friend help with this situation. He should understand.

first off cheif, girls like guys who display good hygene and self confidence. Never use a friend to meet someone, it just complicates things. 2nd you don't even know if you have a shot until you talk to her and you should do that on your own without your friends and hers being around so no one can influence or say something stupid to screw things up. 3rd when you talk to her don't try to be someone your not and listen to what she has to say and find out her intrest. Just tell her you been eyeing her for a while and you would like to get to know her, and maybe do something together. don't be pushy!

That's not a dick thing to do. He USED to like her right?? So that means he should be over her by now. Go for what you want. Ask your friend to hook you up...use your connections wisely ;-)

Ask him to introduce you or walk up to her yourself...sounds like the only two choices you really have. I would say just ask her out yourself.....worst that can happen is she says no, right?
