I've never heard of a Pulsar but there was a kitcar a few years ago called a 'Covin' it was VW based and you could use VW or Ford engines.It's body was taken from moulds from a real 911. I understand Porsche were pretty p*ssed off about it! I have driven one with a 2.1L Type 4 motor. it was O.K apart from terrible 'scuttle shake' (poor body rigidity!)
The only thing that should look like a Porsche is a real one!

You could do 10's of thousands of dollars work to a Volkswagen Beetle and never approch the quality or handling or power or looks of 911. The Porsche 911 is about the most ICONIC design in the world instantly reconizable as a Porsche. Save time just purchase a 911 made from 1966 in many variations.

saw one about 10 yrs ago-had xr2 engine fitted but owner hated it and got a real 911 instead!also real 911 cheaper to insure(classic car)
