tomorrow (monday at 5.30pm) I'm going to this pub/restuarant which is re-opening again soon for an interview for one of the waitress jobs.
im 16 in two months, and i KNOW that they dont mind that as they recently hired my friend who is a month younger than me.
ive been told to dress casual
i just need advice on what to say, etc.
how can i get this job.
ive heard quite a few people are going for the waitressing jobs.
would it be good to mention that i im more than willing to work days such as christmas and bank holidays?
thanks :)

your first impression counts!
make sure u go well groomed. Hair neat, nails neat. Clean clothes. Be prepared to answer: Describe yourself and why should you be hired for the job. Make eye contact. Dont chew gum or fidget in the chair.

If you show confidence and believe that you deserve the job, then they will believe it to!
Here are a couple things to keep in mind:
1. Practice the night before. I know this sounds silly, but if you come up with questions that you think they might ask and come up with answers, you'll be surprised out how much easier it is to do it the next day. Make sure you way them, out loud. And you can plan to incorporate some things you know are key, like what makes you stand out from the others.
2. On that note, think about what exactly YOU have that others don't? Are you personable? (this will show in the way you talk to the interviewers--a happy, positive energy is probably best), Are you quick? Easy-going? Professional? Dedicated? Think about all those things.
3. Be prepared: know where you are going, arrive 15 minutes early and be positive. Nothing impresses an interviewer more than their intitial impression of you, and your personality throughout the interview. That can be more important than "skills."
4. Dress "casually" but not too casually. A pair of nice dress pants and a blouse or nice shirt is probably okay. Do you hair nicely. Unfortuantley, lots of resteraunts pick ppl based on how they look, so make sure you look presentable.
5. Do you know anything about the resteraunt? Do they have a website? Go the extra mile by checking out the company's website, memorizng things that are important like their values and mission statement, and then incorporate some in your answers. If they say, are you familiar with this? You can say, y es I checke dyour website etc. etc. Doing this shows that YOU willl go the extra mile, and I can garuntee that others won't.

I been working at my job for 24 years now. I know I had to know some things. Like triginometry and junk like that. but that is not what got me my job. What got me my job was I looked him straight in the face. and I said.
" I will be the best employee, you ever had"
and then I was. and i'm still working there. the best job you could ever want. I thank God for my job every day. So go there and tell him/her.
"if you give me this job, I will be the best waitress you ever had" Then you can get the job. worked for me. except I was a tool grinder not a waitress. I dont' think I could be a waitress. not even a waitor. just not my type of job. be all nice and pretty. i'm a guy. i'm not all that nice. I never wanted to be "pretty" you go tell him. " i'll be the best" you will get the job. Don't wear perfume that day. people actually sence the sence of taste with there sence of smell. too much perfume/ can make people think. That there food taste funny.
becareful too. not to be to sexy. they may think you can get the job for that. If that would happen. Then you don't want to work there.
>>>>>If there is a way to write me back and let me know how it goes please do.

Be as you are, do as you do, talk only if your asked a question, and answer as directly as possible without rambling on, you'll probably fill out an application and usually they ask the days and hours you can work and if you can work weekends and holidays.....If they ask what is your salary requirements, put down, open for discussion....but definitely have a dollar figure in mind, don't go below minimum pay....My very best to you, I hope you get the job.....

See yourself doing the job in your mind. Focus on it. The words you need to say will come to you. Concentrate on getting the job and it will be yours.

16 is too young to wait tables, sorry.
I did it for 13 years before becoming a manager, it's a tough, demanding job. I might advise another avenue.
