We always do turkey for T-day. But it's not necessary, it's more about the spirit of the holiday. Like one year my former mother in law forgot to turn the oven on! And the whole family was already there, side dishes done, so she called in for pizzas and I and my brother in law's girlfriend went to pick them up. The whole family got a big kick out of having pizza for T-day, but it boiled down to the fact that we were all together and laughing and celebrating Thanksgiving.

Unless the turkey is the one giving the Thanksgiving blessing...then YES...Thanksgiving is still Thanksgiving without a turkey. Thanks is in your heart...not on the table....
