I met a guy online and we wrote for a long time, spoke on the phone and then we finally met. I drove 50 miles to meet him--but, stayed at a friends home. We met during the day at a restaurant. Well, the guy had sent me a picture of himself from 20 years ago. Back then, he had hair---was thin. When I met him I saw a bald, very over-weight guy dressed like a total slob. When the check came he reached down into his back pocket and surprisingly said "Oh my god, I think I left my wallet at home, you don't mind paying do you."
The guy said that he was a businessman. He looked more like a homeless guy who probably went to the library to go online and get people to buy him meals.
I just felt so conned. He lost his credibility with me in all areas.

We once convinced a friend that the Student Union had banned the use of the word gullible because it was offensive to members of the Gulli tribe. There were many bigger cons but they would take some time to explain.
