When watching freeview (digital TV) I can sometimes see the shadow of a different program on a different channel along with the program I am watching. I have searched on-line to try and find an answer but cannot find an applicable one, most say that the signal strength might be low (it is not, it is very strong), or that this problem is not possible with freeview.

Sounds like a faulty box - or an image burnt on your screen. You don't get ghosting with digital.

I had this problem a while ago I had a signal booster installed when I got the areal repair man in all he did was take the booster away and it works fine now
He said the booster was boosting the analog signal and interfering with the digital signal

This can happen if you are in an area with similar strength signals from 2 transmitters. You probably need to do a manual re-tune of your freview receiver choosing whichever transmitter you prefer. So if, like me, you are in the Thames valley I chose the Southern signal as there is more local news coverage. There should be guidance on manual re-tuning on the instruction book or do a google searce

Turn your freeview box off , but leave your TV on.
Do you still have a picture?
If yes then re-tune your TV to a part between stations, and re-tune your Freeview box.
If no, then get a new box.
