I am speaking of the spirit of anti- Christ...

Christ means " anointing " . Like what you receive when you're empowered to spread the Gospel.

Any preaching of opposition is a display of the spirit of the anti-christ. It is when something tempts or compels you to turn away from the desire and will of God.

In the New Living Translation bible it defines the anti-
christ(s), "opponent of Christ, the personification of evil."
Many people will be deceived by the anti-christ. Especially people who don't believe in God. He will seem like a great man, but also blasphemies against God.

Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrist have appeared. From this we know that the end of the world has come. (1 John 2:18).

And who is the great liar? The one who says that Jesus is not the Christ. Such people are antichrist, for they have denied the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22).

Many deceivers have gone out into the world. They do not believe that Jesus Christ came to Earth in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist (2 John 1:7).

I understand that in the end times he will come from the Mideast and raise to power. Many people will be lead astray and follow him thinking he is the Messiah. Only those who have the Holy Spirit dwelling within them will be able to see the truth. In the Bible he is referred to as "little horn" that is the part of the beast/dragon/satan who will go against God the father in the end. Of course God wins and satan is cast into the lake of sulfur and fire for eternity.

There will be many Christians killed because they will not obey this person. He will be very likable and nice looking so as to attract more victims.Daniel 8 tells about Israel's experiences to come under the anti-Christ. He will be the master of all riddles to confuse us.

If you really want to understand this read the entire book of Daniel and Revelation. Also Beth Moore has a wonderful Bible Study called Daniel-Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy. This has opened a whole new world of understanding. Be Prepared so when he comes we will know him for what he is.

Anti in this instance means "in place of" not "against". The antichrist is looking to replace Christ not be against Christ. This has always been Satan's objective to replace Christ in the hearts of mankind. If you are looking for a secular authoritarian figure, you will surely miss your mark. The antichrist will be a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The antichrist seeks worship according to Revelation 13 just like Satan sought for Jesus to fall down and worship him. The antichrist is a religious figure.

In history, do we have an example of a religious entity that seeks to replace Christ in order to obtain the worship of mankind. We have to look no farther than the Roman Catholic Church to find such a figure.

The RCC is a religious entity that mocks the High Priestly ministry of Jesus Christ by attempting to replace Him with its system of mass, confession and communion. The RCC blasphemes God by assuming His attributes, namely the power to forgive sins, and infallibility. The pope even calls himself "God on Earth".

The RCC received a deadly wound when the pope was taken captive in 1798 by one of Napoleon's generals. The pope later died in captivity. But according to Revelation, the deadly wound was healed. Sure enough, in 1929, the RCC received back the Vatican from Mussolini and the RCC has been growing into power ever since. Witness the world wondering after the beast at the funeral for Pope JP ll.

Christ does not mean "anointing", it means "annointed one". It is not like what you receive when you're empowered to spread the Gospel. Your annointing can be anything, but it doesn't make you Christ.

The anti-Christ written in the Bible is a specific person as well. The "spirit of anti- Christ" is hogwash, that's just something preachers make up when they have nothing solid to preach.

Anti- means against.......
Christ is the Lord - the Messiacha......

There is no one particular anti-christ.... Let no one tell you "the" anti-christ is coming. Because there are many... and there were them also in the days when Christ walked with us, here........

If you are referring to the coming of the beast, then let it be known to you that there are two........ the second beast is given 2 sitting terms (42 month periods - president). It is the second beast which encounters the 2 witnesses before they are killed and celebrated over like its Christmas...... These two will be treated like bonafied terrorists......

It’s satan playing his roll as antichrist. He has many names, titles, and rolls that he plays. For example, the Rock (Christ) and the false rock (satan) ... The Father (God), the father (satan).

Oh, satan has a spirit, just as God has a spirit, just as you have a spirit.
