want to know the procedure required by a pharmacist from Ghana to be able to practise in the USA. This include exam to write, fees to pay and the duration.

The state requirements are fairly similar. First, you need to have an equivalent degree. If you graduated after 2003, a 5 year degree is needed, and if you graduated before 2003, a 4 year degree is needed. You'll then need to take and pass the FPGEE and TOEFL exams. If you pass, which relatively few do, you have to intern for about 1200 hours. Once that is done, you can take the NAPLEX and MJPE exams. If you pass those, you can become a licensed pharmacist.

There is no national standard, each of the 50 states have their own set of requirements.
