my granny said it can.... but i cant believe her because she doesn't have any proof... i asked her and she answered me with another question.. she said: if it cant break a tv, why did our tv break?

Our TV got burnt out... and we only used it for PS2.
Our PS2 is still working, the TV isnt!

Dont know how it happened, but happen it did!

some tvs (tube based) can experience burn-in when a constant picture is left on it for long periods of times. The new tvs- pixel or lcd based or plasma would more likely have a part like a firing arm, or something like that, go out or a moving part die than burnin...but she does have a point. u should take a break every 2 hrs.

your granny [im afraid to say] sounds like a dumbass
all the ps2 does is send signals to it
it is possible that prolonged use caused burn in
but the same hing can happen to whatever you put on the tv
or maybe ur tv is crap
i dunno

yes it can...my mom and big bro nagged at me when i played ps2 in my bigger tv in the living room..at few weeks later the picture was seems to be damaged..at was sent to repair
