I played a few times in high school. Though I was way more into Masquerade. We did that as live action at a club.

Agnostic. Not just D&D, but various other role-playing games. With all kinds of groups, including mixed ethnicities, different religions, and even *gasp* Christians of different denominations playing together just nicely.

Interestingly, one of these groups actually helped me figure out the value religion and true faith can have to a person; more's the pity I don't get that benefit.

In the university role playing society that I was a member of, the vast majority of its members were of no-professed religion ("may be atheist, maybe haven't made mind up") Few were Atheists, but the only real religious "grouping", made up of about 8 people, was Pagan of one path or another (I'm a Pagan, and it was because the Pagan's I knew at Uni were involved in RPGs, that I got involved in RPGs). There was one fairly openly devout (but still tolerant) Christian lady that I know of.

There wasn't any D&D being played (Mainly GURPS based games)

LARP had more of less the same religious makeup (about equal gender ratios though, so in a way it was less nerdy)

LOL I'd forgotten that Joke. Thanks for reminding me..

Here's annother....

Yes I used to play back in the late 80's. I actually found it very useful because it helps to teach one to think outside the box and I've found that to be a very useful commodity in my job as an engineer.

Once an atheist never played then. Now born again and still haven't played.
Not interested in a game that takes that long to play (don't even like golf).
That and its a fantasy game. Not my bag.

I think that is the geekiest, dorkiest thing you can do. One comedian said "do you know how many dweebs in the dweeb forest you have to walk by to get to the Civil War reinactors? You have to walk by the Pokemon people The Dungeons and Dragons people and wayyyy past the Trekies!!!!"

10 years ago I found a doggie in the parking lot at work. The poor thing was all mangled and seemed to be hurting. I took him home and took care of him for the next 10 years. His name was "Chuy" which is the Spanish nickname for Jesus. However, it degenerated to "Chewie", because he would chew everything. He died last September, I miss him a lot.
What this has to do with the question? ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!!! But I said what the heck is a stupid question as might as well get the two points.
