It sounds like he probably needs to get some manner of help. Let's face it: your boyfriend sounds like he's an alcoholic or is in the process of succumbing to alcoholism. Either way, from what information you have given here, he abuses booze. When he is sober and not hung over, you should talk to him about the issues you are having with his drinking and what it will likely do to him then, because he will probably be more reasonable. If he doesn't get some help, he will either end up dead or in jail. You might try attending a meeting for the friends and families of alcoholics, such as an Al-Anon Family Group, or trying to convince him that he should seek some help. Whatever you do, do it gently. People who abuse a substance can be a bit touchy when someone attacks their favourite poison.

You cannot change your boyfriend's habits, so you have to decide what you are willing to put up with. You can continue on as you have been, bailing him out of trouble, you can continue in the relationship and refuse to bail him out of trouble, or you can get out of the relationship. It's your decision - but you can't make him stop drinking/partying if he doesn't want to. Period. The only thing you can change in this situation is what YOU do about it.

Find a new boyfriend if he doesn't get help for his addiction.

ya just watch out for him, as in if you care about him, you'll help him to remember and not make the mistake again.
