I am painting my living room in a deep red color but I have no idea what color to do the couches..I have to use slipcovers right now because we have some mix and match furniture...I was thinking of doing some sort of chocolate brown and a maybe a khaki or beige colored curtain. Am I crazy? What are your opinions?

You are on the mark! I painted my den a deep red, with nubuck colored ceiling, and accessorized with brown, red, beige, tan and nubuck. The compliments kept rolling in from friends.

The color combination which you have mention ,looking at that I would recommend you to go for light brown color furniture. because this color will suit on darker cherry red on three sides with a medium brown on the fourth wall.

Dark khaki or dark olive green sounds good. If you have no children/dogs or messy partner, white removable washable covers would look great. Barring that a nice Navy or Royal blue looks perfect.
