Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao who watched the lopsided twelve round decision scored by reigning WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez over a game but outclassed Rocky Juarez says Marquez was “not impressive” although the champion clearly impressed all three judges at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona yesterday. In a long distance telephone conversation with Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today from his home in General Santos City where he watched the fight, Pacquiao said Marquez was ”slow and had no real power” noting that he couldn’t take out a much smaller Juarez despite catching him with some good right hands in the later round.
If I'm not mistaking didn't Pacquiao say he could knock out marquez before their first fight he knocked him down 3 times, but not out....I think pacquiao is just talking i think he fears Marquez...Guess what I like Pacman too, but i think this fight would be great for boxing as well with Vasquez & R-Marquez 3 same card......

I think even Pacman would have trouble with juarez....Pacman is so full of himself saying marquez didn't have no speed or power on those punches last night!!!.....

Marquez by UD. Manny can Punch, but he cant "box" like Marquez. Marquez won every single round in their first fight except the first one. Pacman knows it too, thats why the fight hasnt happened. Juan is going to outbox manny again and worse than the 1st time around. Marquez called him out yesterday and if the fight dont happen Im sorry but Pacman a B*tch!

Head-butting Juarez right after the opening bell was a marquee Marquez move alright. Juarez wasn't even intimidated by Marquez but was all distracted by the blood gushing from the side of his eyes. Anyone who overlooked that is simply blowing up things. If they do meet up again I believe Pacquiao will prevail for this following reasons:

1. When they first met Pacquiao reportedly hurt his fist after the initial round rampage. If he had those dyanmite hands throughout the fight fans won't clamor for more.

2. Pacquaio fought a wary Barrera, It wasn't an impressive win but look at how Barrera avoided Pacquiao's offensive he was just escaping a shameful exit if he went KO'd on that fight since it was going to be his last.

3. Time and again this these Mexican boxers (Barrera, Marquez and Morales) have belittled Pacquiao's tendency to improve they always think that the boxer they faced was the same boxer they are going to face which got them into costly prices. Unless they go and take Pacman seriously they are dead meat.

4. It is not Pacquiao who avoids Marquez. It was Marquez who kept the rematch overdue... Remember he was stripped of his titles because of his act.

5. Pacquiao had a lot of distractions during the Barrera campaign expect a more focused Paquiao in the rematch where he will unleash the tiger we all saw in the Morales fight.

With all of this, Hope this helps.

its funny that PacMan would say that ...i missed it but will be online looking for PacMans comments.... why doesnt PacMAn also point out that he looked very average and at times bad against Barrera, when Marquez pummeled Barrera not even a year earlier.... Marquez has been calling out Pacquiao since their first fight but PacMan keeps ducking him .... Now that Morales and Barrera are gone who will he fight ..... Marquez will beat PacMan easy .... Juarez was fighting very defensive because of the cut and has proven that his chin can take a hit and thats why Marquez didnt finish him.... PacMan is scared to fight Marquez but between JUan Diaz (who also called Manny out for fighting spent fighters) or Juan Manuel Marquez he will chose Marquez who is the smaller fighter.... Diaz would destroy Manny inside 8 rounds and make filipinos cry...lol.... They will still cry with Marquez but at least he wont get knocked out.....

pacman didn't even hurt the old worned out barrera in his last fight, however marquez hurt barrera in their last fight more than he's been hurt since pacquiao... More importantly, marquez looked in an incredible shape yesterday, better than he's been in 2 years or so...

Marquez can take a UD on pacquiao easy, unless marquez gets carelesss and KO by a lucky shot from pacman.

Take away the first two rounds of their first fight and who wins? Marquez, EASILY.

I hate to say it, cuz I'm a HUGE fan of pacquiao, but he's a one-trick pony. Avoid his left, you win. And Marquez is really REALLY good at avoiding Pacman's left, not to mention that he's been fighting almost nothing but southpaws for the last couple years.

Unless marquez gets old overnight, easy win for him, possibly by KO.

Manny is scared to fight Juan because he knows that he lost in their fight every round except for the first round Marquez won because he is a boxer/fighter while Manny is just a fighter and doesn't know how to "Box" he just throws punches looking for a knockout.

PacMan is a total package overall, speed, puncher and has the knock out punch. I will go for PacMan.

However, the greatest counter puncher I have seen is Marquez and very resilient boxer. If PacMan can counter this also, Marquez is not a distant away to become another Mexican victim in the line.....
