I believe in God. I belive in Jesus. I think man is corrupt enough to corrupt the orginal bible. For instance i dont speak hebrew nor read it so how do i know its true.
Christians have the reputation to be hypocrites, that reputation proceeds us. I dont believe you have to be Christian to go to heaven. I dont engage in pre-judging a believer. I dont think gays are going to hell, after all im not the big guy so i literally cant judge.
People question my beliefs when they see me act out. I belive Christianity is a "perfect" practice. Toooo perfect. Thats why i want to know why i should be a Christian.

another point:
By being a Christian, we feel and not see ourselves, we see what God does in other people hardly ever with ourselves, we are blind and God is our seeing-eye-dog.

You have hit on several valid points. I also dont think that Gays automatically go to Hell. I have beliefs from most religions mixed up into one. I think that you dont have to label yourself as one thing or another. If you are a good person and are happy with your choices then that is all that matters. Often times people who scream that they are christian are the ones who are giving it a bad name by being a bunch of self righteous pompus windbags. They are not God and have no right to judge others. They can teach others of the bible and of God but they can not judge others. I say be yourself and believe as you wish. You dont have to be anything just be you.

I am a christian and to me.. It all comes down to a personal choice. Do you choose Jesus to be your one and only savior?
In my opinion, i still do believe that the bible is perfect. i believe this because even though humans are corrupt, God isnt. I believe that gave his influence when people were writing the bible, so that what you read in it today still has the same meanings.
Yes christians are considered hypocrites, but it is impossible not to be. I am a human, and therefore, i sin and am a hypocrites. The difference is that i recognize my faults and strive to do better. the same is for all people.
You are completely right about the whole not judging things, but as far as you dont have to be Christian to go to heaven, the bible is very clear that the only way to heaven is through repentence of your sins and accepting Jesus as your personal savior.
In the end, it is your choice. But if you look at other religions and other idealogical views, Christianity is the only one that has no faults in it (including the bible). I have talked with many people of different views, and i have not been prove wrong yet.

A Christian, by definition, is someone who follows Christ. However, all sorts of different people have a different view on what it means to "follow Christ."
Whether people are JWs, Mormons, Catholics, quiet but non-church goers, or even the sick members of the Phelps cult, their beliefs in what it means to follow Christ are all different, but they all believe in their own way that they are following Christ and by definition are all Christians.
You say "Christians" have the reputations of all sorts of nasty things, but what you are defining are a loud, yet small percentage of Christians as a whole.
Back to your question, though. Why should you be a christian? Why do you believe in Christ? Is it because you are following someone else's belief that Christ is real or is it because there is something that feels right to you beyond logical reason?
If it's because you are blindly believing in it, because someone said so, then you shouldn't be a Christian.
If it's because you just know it's right, then be the best Christian that God in your heart tells you to be. Not people. Not the bible (God is not confined to a self-promoted book, but is so much more than that.)

first of all, i'd say that you are lucky being christian. I'm a catholic. there's no much difference. I believe that jesus said that we were hypocrites. but that wasn't for us it was for are ancestors who really knew nothing bout real good. that's why god sent his son to save us. we 're saved we know what is right and wrong. it's not really being the matter of a christian never mind even if you are in another religion if doing good. The people in the other religions aren't lucky. We're very lucky. Don't be unhappy. It's better than being an atheist. Remember love god and obey his word it'll change your life. Don't try to be too smart with god or you'll lose your faith. God is great and we're like grains of sand to him. If he loves you? why can't you love him? GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU IN FAITH FOREVER!!!!!!!

The word christian means to be "christ-like". Its a shame that most christians are not christ-like. Lots hate others and are hypocritial in other areas. That's why lots of non-believers say "I like your Jesus, but not your Christians" Love one another. Love God. Tell others about God without being condemning or thinking that you're better. How hard is that? Apparently too hard.

Believing Jesus was a prophet not God and the bible was corrupted makes you very close to Islam.
Next step is rejecting the doctrine of human sacrifice.

being a christian is not a choice, but a grace. You are not a christian to be "perfect" but you are "under construction" and waiting for perfection, not by your own capability but by God's spirit who dwells in every believer. All you have to do is take more time in seeking Gods will and listen to His words, its not that easy and takes a lifetime. So, better start now before its too late....PEACE!
