Don't do it!!!!!!
I saw one of those property programmes on TV and it said that the best way to de-value your house is to use Artex whether on ceilings or walls.
It's very old fashioned these days. (Ask Sarah Beeney!)

I agree Artex is very out dated!!! How about having the ceiling replastered then just paint it?
I ve seen an artex effect being done by using a plastic carrrier bag. just use the carrier bag to dab the artex. But of course it is your own personal choice

oh no!!! STOP!!! you can't artex your ceiling or anything else for that matter - it's sooooo last century.

this is normally done with a flat pad with rubber bristles

DONT DO IT ???? not only is it old fashioned it is a nghtmare to paint
