I hate having to ask advice on the internet but im too embarassed anywhere else...

So I'm going off to college soon and I really want to know how often people have sex. Ive heard so many rumors and I know it can be an intense party scene...
Is there a lot of "hooking up"?
...Are college guys more respectful of us or players?

I'm a pretty girl and I just dont want to get hurt!

Never assume that guys are going to be more respectful or honest. The vast majority of us are as depicted in Trojan commercials (pigs) with or without condoms.

Don't feel pressured into sexual activity you aren't ready for. Just because "everyone else" appears to be doing it doesn't mean you should lower your standards simply because you happen to find yourself surrounded by oinkers.

Things have changed a lot since I first went to college but one thing hasn't changed....the next morning you have to look yourself in the mirror and accept responsibility for everything that you did the night before, drunk, stoned, or not. It's a lot easier on your conscience to wonder what it *would have been* like to be with that guy/girl, than to find out that it was a mistake.

Take your time...respect yourself.

I'm in my second year of College and I have to say there is a fair bit of "Hooking Up" but it's mainly amongst the people who live on residence and in the dorms. Of course anywhere with large numbers of people will encourage "fortification" but it's not as intense as it may seem. I'm not a predatory kind of guy but i've had some girls pick me up and take me to their place so you get all kinds of people who approach sex differently. Some girls don't want to and that's fine, just because sex is out of the question doesn't mean you can't be friends. I've got a few friends who are girls who have told me they don't want to have sex on campus because you can get a reputation pretty quickly -that's always false. Other then that there's a general feeling amongst students that we respect each other and especially peoples choices about sex. It's not a primitive culture where people seek out and prey on their next victim...lol. Once you get used to going to college you will meet new people and make new friends then learn about how things really happen. It's always scary being a big fish in a small pond and then jumping into a much bigger pond (remember your first day of high school) it's all experience but don't worry about the pressure of sex because there really isn't any!!

Isabella:

It's difficult to generalize.

Women can have sex as much as
they want! Men must get an "OK"!

Most of my friends were
focused on their studies.
Some had sex every nite
after studying or at least
on the weekends.

Getting "Hurt"? We all do!
It's called LIFE!

Why don't you ask about establishing
rewarding relationships during this
new pathway you are on?

Utilize your time productively &
establish a Marketable Job Skill.
Partying is ok as a "reward" for
all your classroom achievements.

Re: "Respectful"?
Ya ..... I guess! You will be around
more young adults with experience.
But most men are fairly shallow~
& just wish to get laid, & have fun,
after they study.

Enjoy your campus life! You will
meet many quality people. Lovers
& friendships established will be made,
that will be remembered the rest of your life!

Good Luck!
Make the Dean's List! (I did!)

First of all both men and women like to have sex and if its with the right person ALOT of sex. Regretfully 90% or more of the college guys are inexperienced and clueless. They would be in the wham bam thank you maam class. This is not to say you won't find a compatible lover, maybe even a soul-mate. My advice would be to have all the safe sex if you so desire with who you like and not be influenced to have it if your not into it just for the sake of it. Anyways you will never find the guy your looking for until you find out about yourself and what you want in a lover/mate to begin with.

Most college guys are even more horny than high school guys. They are not more respectful, they're just better at pretending they are. 90% of the guys you meet in college only want to have sex with you. It's best to just avoid it all together.

iam a guy who still beleive in a girl that is clean and pure. having sex is not for anything else nor for the satisfaction of oneself. It is not either a question of how often do you do it. It is a question of why you do it. wish before you do it you will think a thousand times.

Just don't go to keg parties and think your going to find Mr. Right. If you go to parties go there to party if you are looking respectful guy look somewhere else. Guys go to party and get laid that's It.. no if's ands or butts about that. And we wont call you. If we want a date girl we find them in other places at parties we are looking for a party favor.

This is a silly question, honey college is for young adults, you should focus on getting that degree than thinking about sex. mainly back in the what I hear and learned from old heads is that girls use to go to college for their future spouses, but If some guy wants to hit it just say no that's all!

I am a fan of both ways. I have more feeling when I'm on top, but the view is soooooo much better when the wife is on top. Also, I have better access to her breast when she's on top... Odie

I would say it depends on the college and the people you associate with. Not all guys are jerks, some of us respect girls and aren't trying to get in their pants.
