I am sorry to inform you that it is probably an allergy. Could be her food, grass, pollen or pretty much ANYTHING. My best suggestion would be to get her on a high quality pet food. I had a German Shepard Dog that would scratch and chew at her self all the time. Several trips to the vet and much $ spent, giving her shots of steroids(which did help) turns out she was allergic to the low quality food I was feeding her. I switched to a brand called Earthblend and with in a months time she was SO much better.
You can try giving her Benedryl as well to relieve the symptoms but that is not a long term fix that. You can look up dosages on line for the Benedryl. Best bet is slowly changing her over to a high quality pet food and see if that helps. If it doesn't then another trip to the vet.
Good luck!

Keeping a dog clean will not keep fleas away - fleas are interested in BLOOD, not dirt. Shampooing does not kill fleas, not even with a flea shampoo.
First thing to do is pop in to a vets for some PROPER flea treatment, like Frontline or Revolution. If you can't resolve the scratching, you need to actually take her to a vet.

that's an hypersensitive reaction likely to nutrition. there is oatmeal shampoo which could help sooth the itch, yet attempt a no grain nutrition. maximum in many circumstances canines improve an hypersensitive reaction to corn.My canines won't be able to consume nutrition with any grain fillers. So i began out making a particular nutrition plan. yet good Gold Barking on the Moon, Innova EVO, or flavor of the Wild Prairie are solid possibilities.

Start with dry food only cut down all the treats. Bathing him with medicated shampoo will help but make sure full rinse and blow dry! One tick or flea bite will cause enough problem due to allergy.

any flew preventative? you may not see fleas on her, but fleas are on the dog 95% of the time. she could have allergies.. and it could be flea allergies. its a common allergy so i suggest on getting frontline.
with the shampoo, try hypoallergenic or oatmeal.. unless your vet prescribes something else. or says its okay for anything else.
it could also be food allergies. my pitbull, i believe, is allergic to science diet. yeah, even though it's vet recommended, it has wheat, and soy, AND corn.. all in the beginning of the ingredients list. those three are known to be bad for dogs... try switching foods..

It could be a food allergy, or other allergen. (dust, something outdoors)
Have the vet check it out. They can do an allergy test.
(My dog has a food allergy & scratched all the time)
Good luck.

maybe it is the shampoo or food you use. If she sleeps on a wool blanket it could be that, too.
