If I would have known that sex is extremely OVER RATED than I would have waited til I got married...why didn't anyone tell me that it wasn't anything like the movies.??? Of course some times it greats, but I still could have waited, why don't people warn people??

Your mom may not remember what it was like to actually believe the fantasy version of sex sold in the movies.

Your friends might not want to admit that they don't like the sex they're having.

Women vary a lot. Some women enjoy it from the start and some don't. Unfortunately, no advisor can predict for you how you personally will respond. There is no rule. All she can say is "This is my experience - yours may be different." And she might be embarassed to speak that frankly.

Some advisors refrain from warning girls about sex being overrated because they don't want to seem repressive.

I'm surprised you feel that no one has warned you. No offense, but do you see all the commercials on tv? Do you not read magazines? Have you never come across a single person whether in real life, in a movie, tv show, etc who had expressed feelings about waiting or regretting having sex?

Its too bad.

Yeah sex seems to ALWAYS be good for the boy/guy, and girls/women are always wondering why they didn't wait. We want the guy to be happy. We want them to love us. And no matter what anyone tells us, we don't hear it, because it's not the answer we are looking for.

There seriously needs to be a whole campaign about sex being overrated until you're older, not just abstain from it, or practice safe sex.

That could just be your take on the situation. could be various things you could have had a bad lover that didn't know what he was doing or you.. Could be your not into sex that much or feel that much.

Keep trying you haven't hit jack pot yet.

Would you have listened? Or would you have believed the media and mainstream opinion? I'm guessing the media option, most younger people believe mainstream until they get experience.
