My daughter got a 4.0 report card which is the best she could get at her school. Every year she gets a 3.7-3.9 but never a 4.0. I need to reward her. Any advice what i should do ?

I agree with the pat on the back answer. If she worked a lot harder this time, tell her you're really proud of how hard she was working. If she always worked hard, but this is the first time she's had a perfect report card, then she really doesn't deserve any more praise than last time ... Rewards should be about effort and behavior, not grades, since maybe the material is just harder or easier in a particular semester, and that's really not something she can control. You don't want her feeling bad next time when she works just as hard and gets a 3.9, and you don't want her deciding to take easier courses so she's more likely to get higher grades and get a reward.

Okay first of all, before you tell the world, make sure she is okay with you telling people. I personaly to very well in school and like to keep it to myself.

Anyway this is what my parents give me (11-14)
- North Face Coat
- Uggs
- Gift cards to favorite stores
- Parties

If you know she wants something for Christmas you can get it for her early. Good luck!

Money! i know she'll be happy with that, depending on how much you give her. 4.0 is a big accomplishment so she deserves a big reward

Take her out to a movie or to a pizza place. Just dedicate a day to her and do everything she wants.

Impressive stuff but don't be too generous or she'll expect a big gift everytime she gets good grades.
