It was about as serious as a salamander doing the boogie.

That answer was full of .... holes. But it's to be expected that it would be the best answer since it was chosen by the asker. His question was open to all debate though, and so in that respect I'd say it was a serious inquiry. The answers didn't turn out to be so scholarly, though.

It sounds to me like the asker was just trying to start an argument and also giving himself and someone else an opportunity to preach, since the "best answer" really didn't answer the question but seemed to be more of a "testimony."

Oh man that made me laugh!
"It bothers me that people who see miracles don't believe them. And try to explain them away. After the 4 knee surgeries I had I was in constant, all the time, everyday pain. God took it away. I no longer have pain when I go out in the cold (like a thousand sharp knives). I used to be able to tell you when it was raining when someone opened the door without seeing it raining. I don't feel that anymore."
...
Your Answer: People would love for miracles to actually be true, so they take facts of reality... like the fact that you just misplaced your keys or the fact that your knees healed, and turn it into "God performed a miracle"

I didn't see anything that bothered the "best answerer" about religion. I'd say it's a pretty common question in the "christians agree"... I mean "religion and spirituality" section
