The 10 commandments were given to the Israelites along with the rest of the Law of Moses. The law of Christ superceded that law at His death. It was not a change of mind but a change of purpose. The Old Law was designed to teach us and to keep sin "in check" until Jesus came to die for us. After that He instituted His own laws to all mankind, not just Israelites. This law has some over lap with the Old Covenant in that some of the laws are the same, but there is no list of "10 Commandments" in the New Testament of Christ.

There are no ten commandments in N.T. theology.

There are two that cover Christian behaviour:

1. Total love for God

2. Total love for fellow man.

It is faith expressed through love.

The ten commandments are not a reflection of faith.

Keeping the ten commandments does not prove a person to be "good."
