Adam is the the first human being God created before Eve, And Adam communicated with God, in fact Adam, named all kinds of animals that God created ...see Genesis in the BIBLE.Genesis 2:19. The second fact is that Adam also called Eve as "woman" before God named this woman as "Eve" .But review the word of God again in Genesis 1:26 up to Genesis 2 then,make a recall on some facts to the story in the Tower of Babel.

I'm thinking it may have been some form of sign language accompanied by grunts or something, seeing as how we're probably talking about cavemen.
