Successful fertilization in female may be contributed by the following factors:

>>The health of the reproductive systems, and the entire health condition have great impacts on fertilization.

>> The quality of the eggs and sperm involved as affected by the general health conditions, diet, environment and healthy habits and practice plays an important role.

>>Good quality semen/sperm. A normal healthy sperm with good mobility, acrosomal integrity and ability to penetrate the egg yields higher rates of successful fertilization.

>> Age of the woman.Age-related changes occurring in the reproductive hormones which may decrease the egg quality with increasing age are important factors to consider. The older the female is, the more likely the eggs to have hard shells (zona pellucida) that keep sperm from penetrating that prevent fertilization.

>>Female hormonal levels has great impacts on producing quality eggs and successful fertilization.

>>Favorable psychological conditions. It has been figured out that stressful conditions can affect the fertilization activities.
