I find it hard to believe that anyone would think this way... i dont think people are like " i think i will do this because then i will get into heaven?" that is just weird... people do what they want because it makes them happy and if they get into heaven it is just a plus!

No, and here's the reasoning behind this. Number one, I am not Christian and therefore do not believe in Heaven. But moreover, when I was a Christian, I did not do something with the sole purpose of getting into Heaven because I believe that God is smarter than that. It seems a little pretentious to me. If you believe in Heaven, your life in general is going to be what would get you there, not one particular action.
It's a little like the Absolution. Like, you could be the most evil person on the face of the earth and say "Oops, my bad." and you're good to go through the pearly gates.
God is not that stupid!
I sincerely hope that makes sense and you understand where I'm coming from here. heh.

Doing any action for the purpose of gaining a reward is not religion. Our desire must be not to be saved, not to go to heaven, not to acquire anything material, but rather to be able to serve God fully and constantly.

Man can do nothing to gain Heaven. Salvation is monergisitic, a complete work of God alone.

Heaven is where God is and hell is where God isn't. Earth is where we are, and the ruler of Earth is not God.
