If you have reached out to the God of your understanding, in
sincerity, God will meet you where you are.
Thomas Merton wrote:"My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me.I cannot know
for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean
that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact , please you. And I hope that I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this, YOU will lead me by the right road through I MAY KNOW
NOTHING ABOUT IT! Therefore,I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for You are ever with me, and You will never leave me to face my perils alone."
Try to keep it simple! a day at a time, there is no time limit, where ever you are you are right on time. It's a journey in process not perfection. All God cares about are your motives! check your motives, Listen to your gut! God will do the rest in His time. God does for me what I could never do alone. Just keep the faith, God does the rest. Welcome to the fold, The blessings already are. "Keep it simple."

Hi, actually at first it was very easy to obey Jesus, because I was so thrilled with His love and companionship. It was truly a sort of faith "honeymoon" period. There are times when, yes, it's been hard to do things His way. I didn't know anything about Christianity until after I met Jesus. A few times I got steered the wrong way by someone's immaturity or lack of grasp of what God's word teaches. Over time it all worked out
BUT, here's what I really want you to know.......when you grasp that Jesus loves you so much He died for you because He couldn't bear to live in a universe without you and now lives to empower your faith, you won't worry that He will ask you to do things you dread....Like being a missionary to a far off country!!! Jesus' love lifts off burdens, it doesn't put them on us!
The more you know Him and His love, the more these things are not a problem. It takes time to know Jesus and what God the Father is like. Its a relationship, so give it time to grow.
I'm really glad you are a believer. Do you have a group to help you grow in your faith? I hope you do. I'd suggest you read the New Testament, it will inspire you and help you see what Jesus and Christians are all about. God Bless You!!!

Mat 11:28 Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, "and you will find rest to your souls." (Jer. 6:16)
Mat 11:30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
What is God's will? Tough question to answer sometimes. But Jesus answered it very succinctly:
Mat 22:36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?
Mat 22:37 And Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Deut. 6:5)
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Lev. 19:18)
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments all the Law and the Prophets hang.
If you practice these two commands, you are doing His will. Now, there is His will as far as your life's work or ministry. That can be hard to know sometimes. I have come to believe that if you believe a certain ministry or profession is God's will for you, pray about it, seek peace about it, talk to other believers about it, then, if you believe you are getting the green light, go forward. If it is not His will for you, He will stop you. Keep going through open doors until you hit a closed one. Hang in there, you are in for a wild, rewarding life in Christ.

It's a process. None of us will ever do what God wants of us all the time. It's progress not perfection. You seem to be going in the right direction and that is all that matters. Don't be too hard on yourself. An oak tree doesn't grow to it's fullest potential overnight. And remember that God hath not given us the spirit of fear. But of power, love and a sound mind 2 Timothy 1:7

My experience has been that the Lord frequently carries new believers for some period of time - giving them a chance to get their feet under them, as it were. In those cases, yes - doing His Will is relatively easy. It always gets harder, though.
This is not to say that it's always easy. Sometimes, particularly when there are particularly stubborn habits left over from pre-Christian days, it can be excruciatingly difficult.
All in all, it depends on the individual. I've always found it obscurely comforting that God deals with each of us individually.

Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Don't let people try and put a bunch of do's and don'ts on you. Do these and everything else will fall in place.Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

well when i first became a believer it was a little difficult but you just have to pray and ask that he will make it easy for you and he really will! but heres how i done it : when i wake up i ask god to let me do something for him and believe me he will send you something. and its not hard as long as you believe he will help you but if you ask to do his work better be sure you really want to do it! and as achristian our job is to get his message out there to people and sometimes its hard to start a conversation with a non-believer but thats when you pray that the lord will open that door of oppurtunity!
hopei could help

You are right. Asking that god's will be done even if it does not agree with what you want is very hard. Nothing is harder than thew commandments you have chosen to follow. If you can do that, you have no need to worry. It has been said you will never be tested beyond you ability to persevere. I used to be christian, and I hope this helps.

Well, absolutly, it's gonna be hard sometimes.
Just cause you become a Christian doesn't mean all your trials are gonna disappear.
But just as much, it doesn't mean it's gonna be all bad.
There's gonna be the tough times to do God's will, and the not so tough, and the easy times.

I fall short everyday; however, the beauty of Christianity is forgiveness. Repent and your sins are blotted out. How awesome it that!
God created everything for His pleasure. What He wants most from us is our love.
