Because most christians go to other parts of the world to spared the word and i understand that other parts of the world dont have opportunity's like we do. But i personally believe that you can be just as effective in spearing the world in your own city or town. I love the city and im praying that god opens the doors for me to move to the city. I love the fast pace, i love how beautiful the stores are....something about the city i LOVE and i feel like its possible to minister to people in the city too. In fact a leader at a bible studies i went to a couple weeks ago said the city is a good place to do mission work because alot of Christians dont feel safe starting families in the city. So i would like to hear what you all think.

Yes I think we should always be ready to give the gospel to anyone who will listen, I don't think we should go door to door or argue with people who disagree firmly... but to anyone willing to listen we have every obligation to preach the gospel. It would be like if we knew the cure to cancer or heart disease and didn't share it with people sick with these things. check out www.wayofthemaster.com it gives great tools on witnessing to people you see everyday.

it is possible, but hard to achieve.
the reason why?
townfolks know you well. they know your strengths and weaknesses. and the fact that people take note of the bad side more than the good side make it hard to preach good things.
that's also the main reason i see why there are missionaries sent millions of miles away from their homes. people don't have knowledge of who they really are so it makes peole believe and do what you preach...easily!

yeah..anything is possible.
If christian go to the other parts of the world for evangelism, because they are called to be.
But if your hearts doesn't called to be like them, it's okay, my DAD can use you in another way...Keep on fire

yes it is possible to do it in your own town as long as you think thats where god is telling you to do it. actually my brother in law was going door to door in our town and it is VERY SMALL!! and he had 18 people in one night get saved ! so it is really a wonderful job.
