Everybody says that yes we are required by law to file income tax forms, but no one can show me the law that states that.

Title 26 U.S.C is the prima facie law. You can read it at the following websites.
http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/uscode26/usc_sup_01_26.html
http://uscode.house.gov/download/title_26.shtml
http://www.access.gpo.gov/uscode/title26/title26.html
There are others, but you can do a web search for yourself.

As I mentioned, Title 26 U.S.C. is the prima facie law. What that means is that Title 26 wasn't specifically passed by Congress in the codified form that is Title 26. HOWEVER, the individual laws that were passed by Congress were codified as Title 26. Those individual laws are what is called "positive law" and Title 26 is prima facie evidence of those laws. If you are interested in reading the actual laws passed by Congress that make up the current income tax laws, you can find them in the U.S. Statutes at Large. To the best of my knowledge, the U.S. Statutes at Large are not available online. However, they are available in Federal Depository Libraries. You can find a Federal Depository Library in your state at http://www.gpoaccess.gov/libraries.html You can start reading with the Internal Revenue Act of 1954 found in Volume 68A beginning on page 3.

The sections of Title 26 that apply to most people are § 1, § 61, § 62, § 63, § 3402, and § 6011.

Other theories against the obligation to pay taxes are refuted at http://evans-legal.com/dan/tpfaq.html

Title 26 - Internal Revenue Code.

The reading is a little dry but it is all in there.

Wow...it has been a quite few days since we have had a Tax Protester here......

You say that no one can show you a law but you must not of searched very hard. Or, you did what most Tax Protesters do: You searched with your eyes closed.

File your returns and pay your taxes. You will be much happier in the long. Tax Protesters have been to court many times using various theories on why they don't have to pay and not one of them has ever won.

If no one can show you the law requiring you to file it is because you are deliberately shutting your eyes. If you want to continue on the fruitcake fringe you will find life unpleasant.

There's also no law that requires you to refrain from killing people. Instead, what we have are laws imposing penalties on those who kill people.

It turns out that 26 USC (F)(68) (A)(I)(6651) imposes penalties on those who fail to file an income tax return, and on those who fail to pay their income taxes.
