I am an "au pair", fancy word for babysitter, I watch two kids Mon-Fri from 2:50pm-6:00pm and I am on salary for 600$ per week. I also just started another job with another two kids as well, Mon-Fri 6:30-9:30 for 550$ a week including tutoring. This probably is not typical but, I live in a wealthy suburb. This is around what I would expect a part-time everyday type sitter to make where I live, if its infrequently maybe like 15-20 bucks an hour.

I think it really depends on their age is 1 or 2 is old enough take care of them self then $10 if they are all under the age of 4 go $15. And keep in mind pay a little extra if you are late or stay out real late I baby sat for years and that is a sure fire way to not get a sitter to come back there is nothing that made me more upset than a parent coming home at 2am and only getting paid $40 if I was there since 6. It was enough to make me get a real job!

If it's just for a few hours, then at LEAST 30 dollars. 10 bucks per child. If it's longer than that, I'd give her 10 an hour.

depends how old they are. 16-18 (with experience only) maybe $10 an hour. Older than 19-20 $15 an hour.

That depends on where you live and the experience of the babysitter.
