It all depends on WHY you are slicing.

If you have a high swing speed with a regular shaft, then the club head would lag too much and the slice would occur.

If you have a stiff shaft, but a slow swing speed, again, you wouldn't get the club head through the ball and would result in a pushed shot.

The best bet would be for you to let a qualified golf professional check your swing and make a recommendation afterwards.

It might not be your shaft...

First of all the clubhead never lags behind. That would be a fishing pole.
If you have a high enough clubhead speed, then you can go with a stiffer shaft. The slice may well be just coming over the top. This is even more likely if you alternate between slicing and straight pulls.

Thumbs down Indeed!! Must be dragonfire. Clubhead lagging indeed!!

No, slice is caused by open club face. To cure slice you need to square the club face when impact. Read up my answers for curing slice in last few questions on slice. Most of them were voted best answers.

You need stiffer shaft when you want to add distance and control for your driver.

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

No. If anything else it might make it worse. Alot of pros get a really stiff shaft to take the right side out of play. Go to a professional and get fit and/or some lessons...it will be worth every penny!

If you mean by making your slice bigger, then yes. If you mean by decreasing it, then no. A more flexible shaft with a lower kick point will help you get the club face to a more square position at impact and aid in eliminating your slice.

no the stiffer shaft has a higher kickpoint it will cause a great loss of accuracy lower ballflight loss of distance and increase the slice start with your left hand placement on the grip the onlt shaft that would help a slice is to go to a softer flex if it is the driver only higher loft or a 3 wood regular shaft low kickpoint good luck
