I asked why, if God is so loving and merciful, He ordered Joshua and the Israelites to murder so many children.
A Christian answered that the fact is, God is not loving and merciful. It seems to me that from a Christian point of view, this is the only answer that makes sense.
If you agree with this, does it bother you to serve a wrathful God because you fear Him?
If you disagree, how do explain the events in the Book of Joshua? Remember that God told them to leave no one alive (except girls who had not yet known a man), so they had to have killed infants and children too young to have knowingly angered God.

Please stop accusing God just because you do not understand His commands to Joshua. You must be born again to see the kingdom of God.

Do you hate God? Are you trying to tell people god is cruel?

It doesn't bother me, because even if he is a wrathful God and I die and he just so happens to be real at least I know he wont banish me to hell...also.if I had lived my life tip toeing around sin to make it to heaven and I die and find out that there's nothing there...well I won't know either way.
Better safe than sorry.
