Try a wedding website, go to your local bookstore and buy a wedding planning guide -- there will be tons of them there.
The book you can take with you everyday, you wont always have access to the Internet....
Another tip -- delegate some things to your most trusted and reliable friends and family members, you can get things started and then turn it over to them to see it thru til the end.

I have a really awesome excel list that includes EVERYTHING you need for planning your wedding. There is a list of 99 things to do, gift tracker, budget tracker, etc. If you want it you can email me at kimbaliney@yahoo.com. It is too large to copy and paste in this space.

go to brides.com!
Its similar to theknot.com but everyone seems friendlier at brides. Its got an integrated to-do list that keeps you on track with planning. I've been using it so I don't do things out of order or forget to do them completely. Good luck!

If you go to the knot.com it will really help you in getting a handle on the things you need to do. Once you really get into the planning, you'll get like a pro who has been doing this forever.

don't use the knot. unless you are ready to put out bucks for their "recommendations"
get the everything wedding book. half.com has them for pennies/super cheap
the pages are filled with helpfull advice and info and the back is tons of worksheets, lists, and to do helpers.
