If Jesus was alive today he would be a janitor-cleaning up man's messes all day long so we can be happy

I feel the same way too sometimes, so I don't think there isn't wrong with the way you think. I think the reason that they say that we should feel happy is because this is the way it was meant to be. He knew he was going to die and he loved us all along anyway. So I think it's not really about us killing him, but rather, realizing the wrong that we, as a civilization, have done, and him as a reaction, being the Great God that He is, forgiving us in return. Like a action reaction sort of thing. And we should be happy for that.

That's actually quite a realized mood. We never "deserve" God's mercy, really, since we are infinitesimal and flawed and He is infinitely greater than us in all ways. You are clearly very touched by receiving such an infinitely beneficial gift.
But if you can move your sense of guilt into a sense of gratitude, that will be better. You don't have to be joyous about it; gratitude can be a very serious and poignant emotion. There's nothing you can do to repay that favor; you must simply accept it and try to give it to others in turn.

Will it help you to know that He did so with pure Joy? Along the way, He could have died many times: from the contusions of so many blows, from the crown of thorns (some thorns were poisoned), from the loss of blood...the list is greatly against His survival. But in truth, until he said: "Into Your Hands I commend My Spirit." I do not believe He would have died.
He want you to understand the seriousness of the grievous wrong done to God the Father because of our sins, and to understand that He gladly does this for us.
There is a river of darkness and shadow that engulfs us all. We are tainted with it, and He is the one pulling the veil from our eyes.
It is not wrong to weep for Him, it is natural, and he appreciates every tear as if it were a precious gem.

What makes me sad is reading most of the answers to your question. I pray for those people. Anyway, to answer your question, no, I don't think there is anything wrong with the way you are thinking about this. I think your response is very biblical in fact. Acts 2:37 "Now when they heard (this), they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brethren, what shall we do?'" And yes indeed, we are all unworthy, but praise God for this wonderful gift! I appreciate your heart. God bless you.

No, there is nothing wrong with how you think. In fact I wish more people felt like you do.
You know what the atonement is, what Jesus went through etc. Now what you do with that is your decision. Whether you decide to sin and cause Jesus pain, or stray from sin and make Him happy...that's your choice.
But remember that all men fall short in the glory of God...but Jesus is aiding us by the atonement.

Yes, there is something very wrong. Those lying scumbags have gotten into your head. They're messing with your feelings! They're twisting your mind so that you will go along with whatever else they tell you, whether it be handing over your hard earned money into their greedy, greasy hands or even allowing your own children to become expendable pawns in a ceaseless, cruel game of chess.

John 16
“But now I am going away to the one who sent me; and none of you seems interested in the purpose of my going; none wonders why. Instead you are only filled with sorrow. But the fact of the matter is that it is best for you that I go away, for if I don’t, the comforter won’t come. If I do, he will- for I will send him to you.
“And when he has come he will convince the world of its sin, and of the availability of God’s goodness, and of deliverance from judgement. The world’s sin is unbelief in me; there is righteousness available because I go to the father and you shall see me no more; there is deliverance from judgement because the prince of this world has already been judged.

I think it is normal to feel that way. Jesus did die for our sins, even the non-believers that answered this question.
It's through Jesus Christ that we are saved and by the Grace of God that we are forgiven.

It makes me happy and makes me cry at the same time. Just because how generous and good he was.

Remember why he died, and why he gave you this gift. It's because he loves you, and wants you to know him and be in heaven with him!
