I have alot of friends. I love having friends. They're all wonderful. But i have a dilemma. It seems as though every time a guy is interested, somehow it gets turned into friendship. They're always interested at first and then I'm a buddy. I'm like one of the guys. I feel as though if I come across too sexual, maybe I'll look like a tramp. I also think I'm afraid to get close because I don't want to get hurt. This may sound odd, but is there something I'm not doing right? Am I giving off the wrong vibe? I got out of a 5 year relationship last year and it's almost as though I've forgotten how to act in a flirtatious way. Any advice appreciated : ) I'm in my 20s btw. I'm not a teenager

A good relationship start with good friends. They may have the same feeling of not wanting to come on too strong.just move in slowly and see where it goes .if its not what he wants you can stop it before it starts This will let you get closer with out tearing your heart but getting hurt is part of life Sorry

You sound confused "to sexual" "look like a tramp" vs "afraid to get close/hurt". I've been around and I've never seen one woman display both sets of behaviors. So make up your mind, what do you want and then tell the guy. The odds are he'll give you a clear yes or no so pay attention to the answer and act accordingly.

You say that you are not really into acting sexual towards guys as people with think of you as a tramp, but you must not be scared of it. A guy might be into you but he may think that you don't like him in the same way he does so he just becomes friends with you. Think of a way to display your affection for the guy, even if its not in a flirtatious way. Some would argue that having a good friend could be better than having a boyfriend, personally i don't agree but thats always a mindset you could think in.

Enjoy being single because you haven't been for a long time. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing, test those relationships to see how they turn out. If they become just friends then maybe they aren't what you were looking for, just don't go crazy comparing them to your X cause that will get you nowhere.

The average guy never really sees girls as "friends." They see girls as those that they are more attracted to and those they are less attracted to. So, i guess guys either
a) are attracted to you and interested but something causes them to become less attracted to you, but they still enjoy your company. You don't want to be anything but yourself, so if they can't accept you for who yo uare, thats fine. But maybe you should express that you've moved on from your 5 year relationship and youre looking for a relationship. Try to signal that youre signal and looking.
b) maybe the guys are attracted to you, thats why they do want to spend time with you, but they do not know how to take it to the next level. Signal that youre single and want to take it to the next step
Show some initiative.

dont be a flirt --- honestly i would not know if a lady was flirting with me or not --- just talk to guys ---- and not just the ones you think you will be interested in --- and yes i think everyone feels like they dont want to get too involved or they will get hurt --- im sorry that is a big part of getting involved you make yourself vulnerable --- someone will come along and surprise you --- it happened to me ---- best wishes
