My family and I are invited to a wedding I would not want to go to. Here's the story. Some time ago, a man I'll call Nik introduced me to a man I'll call Sam who had a seriously bad reputation (unbeknownst to me) at a dinner function. The guy nearly raped me, but thank God I got away, and talked the guy out of it.
Now, Nik's son is getting married, and he invited my family to the wedding. I do not want to go because of this. I have never spoken to Nik about this situation, but as a lady who was almost had the unthinkable done would you go?

Please think about this if it was your daughter, sister that this could have been done to. I have forgiven Sam, but just the thought of going to this guys wedding--not good.

Nik and Sam go barhopping together and use women to the hilt, and I'm not that type. He knew him very well.

If they both are abusers of women, why would you even consider going? Have you reported this to the police? Have you told your family?
Stay away from both of them.

I don't get why you would avoid Nik...did he know that this guy was a bad person?

If you have forgiven Sam, the guy that did this to you, why not Nik.

Is Sam goign to be there?

I think I would still go to the wedding.
