I mean, which one has the least amount of conflict, propaganda, brainwashing?
Couldn't be atheism, because they seen to be stamped out en-masse at US colleges and universities. (Must be something the professors like about overpowering a young weak mind).

Believe in yourself is a good place to start.
Read all you can about all the different
philosophies out there.
Make yourself a list as to what you
actually believe.
If you cannot find a belief or
maybe you feel like the perfect prayer is:
"Dear God, if there is a god...Save my soul, if I have a soul"
If this is good for you, then go with it.
There is no #1 Best of Show religion,
although everyone thinks their religion is the one.
But that is their belief,
you have to discover for yourself:

Your own belief... think long and hard about it and decide what you think "God" really is... is he really the guy who tells people to start wars and kill people and tell other people they are going to hell for being gay? Dont think so....Make up your mind of how you want to live and form your religion around that... instead of listening to all the crap going around now. Why should I feel guilty just because YOU want me to believe in YOUR god? (not directed to you, asker, but to all the christians who feel the need to "save my soul")
Thats what I did, and other than other people trying to spew their propoganda at ME, I've been living an amazing and much less guilt ridden life. Everyone I know who has taken this stance feels the same way. So thats what I think :)
EDIT to TXM: the bible tells me i can be stoned if I dont cover my head, that my husband can have multiple wives, and I can own a slave as long as it isnt from a neighboring town. Should I REALLY follow that to a T?

Well it is simple there is no best religion in general but there can be a best religion for a person. For example take Julie the best religion for her is Christianity because she believes in everything it teaches but Islam which is the best religion for Billy isn't the best religion for her even though it is for him. Basically what I am saying is that there is no best religion for everybody but there is one for you. Just look around explore! That is what I did to find my religion and I couldn't be happier than if I listened to what people told me what the best religion was. Just follow your heart and didn't listen to people who say theirs is the best. Do what feels right!
PS- Atheism counts as a religion because a religion is the belief in something. Atheists believe there is nothing to believe in.

Well, it seems to me that the "best" religion is the one that you feel you belong in. Many years ago I tried to believe in the bible and be a christian, well I didn't fit that mold. I believe that you should get in where you fit in.

They dont exactly group together or use propaganda. They believe in a god but thats about it so it can be all different.
There is no best religion... the second some one says they follow the "best" or "true" religion is the second you have to wonder about that person
