If he had the power to create the earth and everything on it by himself, why does he need angels just to commit mass genocide?

You've got a lot of reading to do.
So, just to save you a lot of time, according to scripture (and some of it not included in the Bible), the angels of God represent what God is. There are angels of Love, Hope, Joy, LIfe, Water, Air, Fire, etc... That's why religious people say that God is all around us. They all represent and reveal God. It isn't that God needs them or anything, it is just a natural occurrence - part of how things came to be. The angels realized that they came from God, so anything they do they give credit to God.

Sorry this probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but it is the answer and it's the way things are.

Humanity and God reject genocide - genocide is something that those who have no God - like atheists and terrorists - are more susceptible to. Example: Stalin and the atheist Russia he created - 20 million dead and the suppression of the Eastern Orthodox church.

He doesn't. It's called delegation. He has enough work to do Himself. He sends others out to help us, sort of like an outreach program. He's the head of it, but He uses others to get the job done. It really is the key to running a successful business. Ask any president of a company, and he/she will tell you that delegation makes running it a lot easier and makes it run smoother then not doing it.

"Mass genocide"? What are you talking about? I don't see mass genocide going on, and if it does, it isn't God that is doing it, it's man. God has done this a few times, but it was because there were only a few faithful people on the whole earth.

I am intrigued by your question but do not understand the context. If God is all powerful and can do anything why would He need to "do" anything? He would.... you would send out your servants to do your work.
The concept of God is so far beyond us it really is a difficult thing to understand and grasp. If one can believe Moses, as he talked with God repeatedly, Moses wished to "see" God and God said - " You cannot see my face, for no man can see Me and live!" (Exodus 33:20). Therefore, God sends out His angels to do His bidding. Further, God has made us, each of us, in His image and we are here for His delight. He wants none to die but to live and live to the fullest. If there is anything to do with "mass genocide" that does not come from God. Who has come to kill, steal and destroy? Seek the truth and you will find the answer.

As a Christian, I take issue with your comment that God's work is dirty.

I don't know what you mean by "commit mass genocide". Do you refer to the metaphors of the old testament? Do you wish to blame God for some of the made-by-human hands abominations in our own modern time?

God does use angels to do His work. Not the white-robed and winged halo-on-top angels. We are all His angels. Looking after my family is doing God's work. Being kind and generous and tolerant is doing God's work. Black wings and all, (or at least grey most of the time) I am God's angel.

So are you actually, whenever you are ready to figure out what He wants you to do.

did they stop teaching sunday school in the last decade or what.

genocide...present day genocide is happening cause of dictatorship all across the lands.
genocide in the bible is merely pagans being done with.
the flood of Noahs time, only 8 survived that wicked world at the time.
"God" has a fleet of wonderful angels, you are incorrect, the angels doing the dirty work are satans army.

sunday school and basic bible teachings must have been missed alot this last millenium
put down the ipod and pc, and videos and read your history books, and bible, full of history..and you might get a b on your next question, f for this one...no merit and no substancial evidence.

Angels are sons of God according to the bible in the book of Job 1:6 and 2.1.

your parents had kids and that kids obey them and that doesn´t mean they were their slaves.

Listen; corrupt people breed; they raise corrupted children; it spreads; it must be done away with; if not we end up eventually with a corrupted world; and then we end up with no world at all.
And the world is moving in that direction. Read the book of Revelation in the bible. The corrupt will live on and keep breeding; and the world will destroy itself after seven short yrs. of satan's rule.
There is no dirty work in destroying evil.

Because the God of the Bible is really just a super-duper bronze age Middle-Eastern King, and such people have courtiers and servants and armies.

My theory is that angels have been around for awhile before us humans. They're a whole different idea than humanity though. And God needs something for them to do, rather than just sit around bored.

Basically, the same reason he "needs" us. He doesn't need us, He just keeps us around because he thinks we're neat. :3
