I make homemade ravioli from scratch, I have a problem when I cook them, about half of them end up bursting open and the filling comes out. Is there a way to prevent this?

Make sure you crimp the edges - I use a fork all the way around. And make sure you don't overfill them. They're done when they float on the surface.

Try again. Some are going to burst no matter how well you prepare them, but it shouldn't be many.

Enjoy!

Put some egg white in a bowl and brush it on the inner edges. Make sure you're not putting too much filling. Crimp the edges. Should work fine.

Reduce the amount of filling. You're probably over stuffing them. Good Luck :)

Just a thought, but are you cooking them for too long?

Don't overstuff them or they will burst. Also be sure to correctly seal the edges.
