Before you call me heartless realize my stocks have only gone up 40%, whereas Dick Cheney's Haliburton stocks have gone up an astounding 540%! Anyways, keep up the great work guys, keep getting shot at and possibly having your legs blown off or worse, it is great for my portfolio!

...Sarcasm was never my favorite form of humor or political comment.

Ever since man has conducted war there have been those to profit from it....the FACT that someone makes a buck does NOT negate the fact that the war is valid or necessary.

there were people who profited from the civil war.....are you suggesting slavery should not have been abolished because somebody makes a dollar?

BTW Chaney donated MORE to charity than he made in his blind trust Haliburton stock

Beyond that Haliburton was the ONLY American company who could provide the service in Iraq....to not hire them would mean the jobs would have had to go to a European company....billions of dollars leaving the American economy and flowing into Europe.
Also because Haliburton was associated with Cheney it has been subject to even MORE scrutiny than normal. They are constantly being investigated and fined.

Just remember to SELL before the war ends. I hope you have enough insider information to allow you to sell before everyone else does. Also, you need to think about the new round of inflation that is sure to follow the end of the war. The fed will have to pay on a HUGE national debt, and inflation is the easiest way to do it. Your profits may not be as big as you think once the dollar starts dropping like a stone.

Saddam Hussein is lengthy previous. i'd might want to imagine the total international benefited from that. Kill tally: coming near 2 million, which includes between one hundred fifty,000 and 340,000 Iraqi and between 450,000 and 730,000 Iranian warring parties killed in the course of the Iran-Iraq conflict. An envisioned a million,000 Kuwaiti nationals killed following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. No conclusive figures for the variety of Iraqis killed in the course of the Gulf conflict, with estimates various from as few as a million,500 to as many as 2 hundred,000. Over one hundred,000 Kurds killed or "disappeared". No good figures for the variety of Iraqi dissidents and Shia Muslims killed for the duration of Saddam's reign, in spite of the indisputable fact that estimates placed the ensure between 60,000 and one hundred fifty,000. (Mass graves chanced on following the U. S. occupation of Iraq in 2003 advise that the total mixed ensure for Kurds, Shias and dissidents killed would nicely be as extreme as three hundred,000). about 500,000 Iraqi little ones lifeless because of international commerce sanctions presented following the Gulf conflict.

Supporting anything that causes other human beings to suffer is...well not good. So yeah I'm gonna say it's wrong.

This is really a no brainer I would think.

I don't know if it's wrong to support the war, but I'd say that reasoning is wrong.
