Im getting a 96 maxima very soon and am considering putting altezza lights on. Does anyone know approximately how much someone might charge me to install them? Also, has anyone seen them on a maxima where they have had a black or carbon background as opposed to the more common silver one?

My best suggestion is get all the maintenance up to date first. Taillights don't make the car drive any better sway bars, shocks, springs, wheels. and tires do. I am a Nissan Master Technician and I can tell you you cannot see those tail lights sitting in the car so what is behind me is of no importance. Except that is the view from the car you just passed and think that car driver cares what your tail lights look like and at night can any one tell? Just pull up on the gray plastic latch cover in the trunk pull out three black plastic carpet retainers each side pull foward the carpet and unbolt two 8mm nuts the pull the tail light assembly off straight back it snaps in with two pawn shaped pins then install the altezzia lamp assemblys transfer your bulbs your done after you snap and rebolt them in easy owner do able.

It should not be that hard for you to install the new tail lights. Locate the srews and get a srew driver. It is easy, I just change mine not too long ago.
