I really find it funny how they are scared to be sent to Iraq, when all of our soldiers have to go through this all the time. They set in their office making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and are all crying like babies because some of them have to go to Iraq and sit in comfortable office buildings.

They should be fired for behaving that way. The last thing we need is cowards working anywhere in government.

The only one in the diplomatic corps who makes anything approaching that kind of money is the Secretary of State. The rest are just working people, most of whom are trying to do a good job. Nobody told them they might be sent to war. Every soldier knows that and is trained for it. Some guy riding a desk in Washington or London doesn't see any reason why he should leave his family and go off to Baghdad where everything the US has done has been bungled from the start.

The Truth is 60,000 Iraqi's have been fleeing EACH MONTH from Iraq for the last 3 years. Wee, a couple thousand return to 1 city, because they got turned away at the border and their section of the city was ETHNICALLY CLENSED by radical militias. What a success! rofl.

Their argument is that yes they signed up to serve the country no questions asked; however, in normal circumstances an embassy such as in Baghdad, being under constant assault, sniper fire and mortar attack, would have been closed in any other country. Therefore, their argument goes, this is not required duty.
