I too have black hair. it is very thick partly because i've used shampoos with panthenol . i tried main & tail shampoo & it does make the follicle thicker. pathenol is natural b-based vitamin shampoo available through vitamin catalogs like swanson.com,

& also i searched a question about my hair on here & found a great pack of information free the site is :
http://geebal.blogspot.com/2006/2008/natural-hair-tips....

it showed me how to dye my hair & how to naturall y touch up the color. i used the coffee on mine & it gave it a lot of body! & feels good too.

a good b-complex vitamin will help & that's what you'll find in a multi-but not necessary all the supplements you'll need.
when i used to get perms, my hair would grow like crazy , about 1" a month!! but i've let it grow out & it grows a littl e slower & it is more trouble not being curly !

good luck.

I suggest that you start taking Vitamin D or any type of Prenental Vitamins, this will cause your hair to grow "healthier".

While washing your hair, massage your scalp so you can allow the blood to circulate, which might promote some growth.

IF your hair is relaxed, make sure you only relax it about every 2 months..more than 2 months will be better too.

Make sure yo get your ends trimmed every 6 weeks to a month.

I hope I helped.

Sorry, babe...the one means is to dye it blacker or check out utilizing a few henna ? Your hair will seem brownish within the daylight in view that so much persons with hair that looks black is truthfully darkish brown.

you need to deep condition it every other week....pick a good deep conditioner like hair mayonaise and blow dry it for a minute or so. also, stay away from gels and grease. grease clogs the hair shafts in your scalp.

trim the split ends of your hair once or twice a month, and your hair should grow. =] happy hair growing!
