I recently got an industrial in my right ear. Which is my sleeping side. I didn't realize how much I needed to sleep on this side until I couldn't. What are some ways I can get some good sleep and what are some ways to keep from irritating it while I'm asleep?

Thanks!

Its a brand new piercing. I CANNOT take it out.

I also cannot use alcohol on it.

It's fairly simple, because you really only need to worry about irritating it for a few weeks, if it's healing properly.

Try sleeping with your right arm up crooked under your head, so that your ear is free. If you can't do that, you can purchase one of those donut pillows, and sleep with your ear in the center. It works well.

Good luck.

emily said what i was going to say.

I know what you're going through. I got my conch pierced (luckily on the side I don't sleep on all the time) and I roll around a LOT in my sleep. Eventually I just got in the habit of crooking my arm around my ear when I slept on that side. Also, depending on the size of your bed, if you have two pillows you can lay with your ear between the two, I've found that helps a lot.

Good luck! You'll make it through.

This is going to sound very odd. Have you tried to take an old pillow and cut out a circular shape big enough for your ear to fit in? This way you can sleep on your side and your ear won't be touching anything.

I wouldnt suggest taking it out. Just try not to focus on it. take a few pain pills and go to sleep. I have my ears stretched to 1/2 inch and I go through the same thing everytime I stretch them.

Hello, In order to get some sleep I would try putting some rubbing alcohol on it and wraping something around your ear to protect it, a towel will do.
