they wont laugh cuz most of the people watching r in aw that anyone can go up and sing in front of everone and even if u do mess up if they dont kno the song then they most likely wont realize u messed up unless u make a big deal about it and once u get on stage the lights r so bright u cant even tell who is there if u r still nervas (sp) then pretend it just u on a stage singing by ur self good luck and sing ur little heart out

The best way is to start singing with a group. If you're up there with a couple of other people, it's not so scary. Then you can do some solos. You'll have your back up right there with you. Then you can go it alone and you will be experienced and brave. It worked for me. I started out with a choir. then a small ensemble, then up there alone on the stage.

Being confident in singing comes in time. It took me a while to be able to sing in front of my friends--I can sing in front of my voice teacher and anybody now, except my mom! Being confident in your singing does take time, but when you are on stage, just think: I had the guts to get up here, and these losers watching me didn't--they should be kissing my feet. You'll get over the nervousness in time, but until then, almost insulting the audience (IN YOUR HEAD ONLYYYYYYYYY) can make your ego go up=P

Just sing to one person, and that is the person the furthest away from you. All you have to do is make one person respond to you and the rest will follow. And if the audience laughs then you have been a success and entertained them.
Good luck and have fun.

start by singing infront of reaaly close friends, then as you get more comfortable things will get easier, and youll feel more comfortable with almost anyone. just be patient with yourself and ignore anyone who says ur not good at singing because anyone can be.
