Make her something special, like a favorite dish or whatever. You can also take over all of her manual labor duties for the day, like cleaning the house or doing the laundry. Finally, buy or rent a good movie, something that you know she'd love, and sit down and watch it with her over a favorite snack of hers.

depends on what she likes.????
Example:!!
My mom loves cards something from your heart, flowers,(If you don't know the kind she likes-get mixed ones..) Hoping she doesn't have allergies??? Do something involving you too!! lol
What I would do with my mom is take her to the movies:Something that she has been talking about for-ever, then after the movies I would take her somewhere special to eat?!! Something she is really into(steaks,or if she has a sweet tooth ice cream!).Make her think that you really put some thought into her birthday Or if your low on $$, watch a movie at home, make something special for her...I would make spaghetti and meatballs w/garlic bread....Get some spaghetti noodles, "this instructions are on the box", I think "Prego sauce w/meatballs already inside the Jar'...then your not cooking the meat yourself..Then buy some "Texas toast garlic bread"!!
I hope this helps...Make it before she gets home, or if she has that day off (usually moms don't) lol
But, if she does... Maybe you could involve her or if you want too surprise her...Kick her out of the House. lol I have done that to my mom..It was fun.... Just tell her your doing something special.

P.S-----If your mom works late nights and this isn't an option.Breakfest in bed would be special.pancake, toast, eggs, or a bowl of cereal w/ orange juice. Be creative, Do something she'd like! It will tell her how much you love her.
Good luck for your moms birthday!! :-)

If you don't have any money-write her a note or letter telling her how much she means to you and write about some things you guys have done together. Mom's can pretty much buy whatever they want for themselves, but something personal and special from your kids is very meaningful. Another thing is a coupon book where you give her coupons for things like doing the dishes, washing the car, stuff like that. Make sure you include some for hugs and/or kisses. Mom's eat up that stuff. Make her 49 birthday cards on the computer, funny ones are best. Say something special in each one.

Costume jewelry is good. Find something to go with her favorite outfit, or buy her something sterling, like a locket or necklace that says Mom on it. Silver is relatively inexpensive and is very stylish. I'm sure whatever you buy her, she will cherish it. I still have the jewelry my 25 year old son got for me for Christmas from "Santa's Secret Shop" at school when he was in the 4th grade! Knowing that he picked it out just for me is so special!

this may sound nerdy..but it actually works!~ For a few days or even one day, observe her, and get to know what she may need. If she has a hobby, buy her or even make something that consists of it. But ANYTHING you do, DO NOT give her money. Itll be rude like saying,"Oh here mom i have the money so keep it and buy something ! thatll save me the time in my life." But if she likes shopping, save on the range of $100 and take her shopping, saying you so really need to get something at the mall, and surprise her by saying its her shopping spree.

Well , i hope i helped.Bye!~

I would get her a massage or a dinner and a movie night for just the two of you. My mom stinks at buying clothes so I got her an outfit once.

Manicure or pedicure- that would cost about $25 for 1 or about $50 for both.
