What are peoples opinions on the PS3? I personally think it is a lot better than the wii. Does anyone else think it doesn't have the hype it deserves?

Well, my opinion is more in favor toward the PS3 because I own a PS3 and every other Playstation console.
I think that the PS3 will be the dominant console in 4-5 years from now. The PS3 is truly the ultimate gaming machine and it's true potential is yet to bet seen. The fact that the PS3's potential is yet to be seen makes the PS3 more of a mystery and it makes your mind wonder what the PS3 could do.
As for the Xbox 360 and Wii, everybody knows what it can do and there really isn't anymore future potential for the consoles other than newer games.
As for hype, the PS3 had all of it's hype at launch. As the PS3 sales goes, I think that the PS3 has done well in sales. The PS3 has sold nearly half of how many Xbox 360's have been sold in 2 years, so the PS3 is doing fine considering the fact that it costs more.
The PS3's price is the only thing holding the console back from selling like crazy, but the PS3 is more of a luxury console and the price should be higher, and the price is higher for a good reason. At this point, there's probably no way Sony could sell the PS3 for any cheaper.
I think that the majority of people wanting to buy a PS3 will get one this holiday season or in a few years when the price drops even more than it already has. I know that there are literally millions of people around the world that want a PS3, but just can't buy one yet.

As someone who owns both a PS3 and an X-box 360, the PS3 is the finest game system on the market, and the most powerful. While it should get more hype, I think the price cuts into that. It does have that built in blu-ray player though. The HD DVD player for the 360 has to be bought separately. Another thing that affects the hype for the PS3 is the lack of great exclusive games, and the lack of games in general. That will change though.

Ya WAY better than Wii. It is a great console but its lack of games has plagued it for the past few years, thats why a lot of people dont like it. Also since Xbox came out first, people bought that, then couldnt afford a PS3 too.

its not just better than the wii, it is also better than xbox 360. i personally LOVE ps3. its awesome!! i think that all gamers should really get a ps3. they refuse to because they are xbox fanyboys. ps3 are not being sold as much as it should be because the xbox fanboys make up lies about ps3 and make it look really bad

It's much stronger than Wii. I just love my PS3, in fact, I've stopped to play on my PC (just RTS games). It's great, it's interesting, it's just concentrated hi-tech fun!

I love the PS3 and never played it. I am getting one soon. I fell in love with it just reading its Wikipedia article... imagine when I actually have it ;-)
