How to Roast Pumpkin Seeds

1. Rinse pumpkin seeds under cold water and pick out the pulp and strings. (This is easiest just after you've removed the seeds from the pumpkin, before the pulp has dried.)
2. Place the pumpkin seeds in a single layer on an oiled baking sheet, stirring to coat. If you prefer, omit the oil and coat with non-stick cooking spray.
3. Sprinkle with salt and bake at 325 degrees F until toasted, about 25 minutes, checking and stirring after 10 minutes.
4. Let cool and store in an air-tight container.

1. Preheat oven to 300.
2. Combine 1 T oil or melted butter plus ½ t salt per cup of seeds. If you like, you can add other spices like pepper, paprika, and/or garlic.
3. Toss seeds with oil mixture until well coated.
4. Spread evenly on a cookie sheet.
5. Bake until golden, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
6. Let cool on paper towels.

My family has always used this easy recipe:
1. Extract seeds from pumpkin.
2. Separate and discard pulp.
3. Thoroughly wash seeds in warm water.
4. Spead seeds out onto a cookie sheet.
5. Sprinkle generously with salt.
6. Put into oven and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.
7. Check every five minutes and stir, adding more salt to taste.
8. Check seeds to see if they are done by talking a sample out, allowing to cool and tasting. If the insides are dry, they are done.
9. Allow to cool and serve.

Hope this helps. :)

Fry 'em. It's delicious. Throw soy butter into a frying pan, melt it, and then toss in the pumpkin seeds, shaking them around a little bit. Sprinkle some salt over them all and serve them up.

DELICIOUS.

Boil them in heavily salted water until they're opaque in color.
Drain - but do not rinse - them and spread them out onto a baking sheet. Bake them in a 350 oven, stirring them around occassionnally until they're dry. This method has never failed for me.
