We are now dealing with the sudden death of our 8 year old German Shepherd and have given a lot of thought about how much joy he gave us on a daily basis; we have lost a best friend and hiking partner.
If you have a dog, give him or her a big hug just because you can.

im soo sorry for your loss, we actually had to give up our pitbull (my bestfriend) when he was a lil over 9 months old b/c of where we lived. i still cry about how wrong it was for us to do that and that was well over a yr ago. he was sweetest angel you could ever meet. he was soo funny too and he had an amazing personality that you could even see on his face. he'd huff and puff when he didnt wanna do somethin or when he was bored he'd sigh. and if i went HUH..like u do when ur scared ...u know u breath in real deep and fast. he'd come runnin up to me and put his head under my hands to make sure i was ok. and i'd have to verbally tell him i was ok. man dogs are so awesome. hed also only be able to sleep if he had a pillow to put his head on I SWEAR! and if he slept in our bed, hed be under tha sheets..lol. it was so funny to see

so sorry about the loss of your pet. i have had many dogs over the years and it is still sad when i think about them not being with us anymore. they are family and love us and are loyal to the end.please get another you have so much to offer and there is one waiting for you somewhere.we lost our little dog this past summer due to heart failure so i got a pup a month ago and we are having a ball. we have a 7 yr husky and a 3 yr border collie whom we love but we needed that 3rd dog to fill the space.there are so many who are no longer loved or wanted and they would be honoured to have a home with you.take some time to greive and go out dog searching. best of luck.

Yes it is. My dog is currently on hug restrictions due to his tendencies of knocking me over and sitting on my stomach causing severe lack of air, but I'll give him a half hug.
